Echoes of Wisdom

After Zelda defeats an enemy for the first time, a Shimmer is left behind. Zelda is able to examine the Shimmer to learn more about the enemy that was just destroyed.[1] If Zelda does not collect the echo, a Shimmer will be left behind the first time that enemy is defeated in a new location. On rare occasions when two enemies are defeated simultaneously, two Shimmers will appear, but examining one will cause the other to disappear.
