While this is the only source for the aforementioned Mighty Lynel weapons after the World Level has replaced the other Blue-Maned Lynels with White-Maned or Silver Lynels carrying Savage Lynel weapons, it will not ordinarily drop its weapons on defeat. To make it do so, the player must save the game within the First Gatehouse and reload from this save before killing the Lynel. The player can then kill the Lynel and it will drop the weapons in line with Lynels elsewhere in the game.

The First Gatehouse is a location in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Located in the southwest side of the castle, the Gatehouse is among the largest buildings inside the castle. The west entrance to the Gatehouse is flanked by two Guardian Turrets waiting outside. It can be entered through its main entrance, from the rear, or from the windows of the second story. When Link enters, the main doors are barred, and a Blue-Maned Lynel appears carrying a Mighty Lynel Sword, Mighty Lynel Shield and Mighty Lynel Bow, and the Malice Eyeballs on the interior roof will open, spewing Cursed Moblins from its maw. Keep in mind that only touching the first floor will make these happen, and the Gatehouse may well be skipped if Link climbs the outer walls and skips going inside.

For the sake of completing the Hyrule Compendium, in Master Mode, the Blue-Maned Lynel hereby contained will remain as it is and not transform into stronger counterparts as the game progresses.

The First Gatehouse is still located in its prior location from Breath of the Wild. There are no longer enemies present - only Captain Hoz and those searching for Link and Princess Zelda. Link must travel there to speak with Captain Hoz and inform him of Link and Princess Zelda's current whereabouts.

Link climbs on top of the Gatehouse to find Captain Hoz and Toren searching to the northeast. When Link arrives, Toren sees Princess Zelda in the distance, who quickly disappears. Captain Hoz asks Link to report back to Purah on what has occurred, as it will take time for the remaining search crew here to return to Lookout Landing.
