Avalaunch[1], also known as Stone Hinox or Dekudon, is the mini-boss of the Color Dungeon in the DX remake of Link's Awakening. He is the second mini-boss of the dungeon, fought after the Giant Buzz Blob.

Battle

The Avalaunch's room is filled with many spikes set into the floor. When Link first enters, the Avalaunch calls him greedy and begins to attack.[2] The Avalaunch is very similar to the Hinox in terms of how he is defeated. Link can kill him with eight hits with his sword. To attack, he throws boulders at Link that bounce around the room at random. Every time that he jumps into the air, the landing creates a shockwave that momentarily stuns Link.

After he is defeated, a fairy appears and Link can proceed into the next room.
