The Sturnida Basin is a location found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
The Sturnida Basin is located just northwest of Lake Kilsie at the west side of the Hebra Mountains. The basin includes the nearby Sturnida Secret Hot Spring and it leads up north to the Biron Snowshelf. Like most of the Hebra region, the weather is bitterly cold, requiring Link to wear armor with Cold Resistance, such as the Snowquill Set.
On the higher ledge to the east, there is a treasure chest buried in the snow. The chest is near a tree and contains a Silver Rupee.
Selmie's Shield-Surfing
- Main article: Selmie's Shield-Surfing
If Link speaks with Selmie at Selmie's Spot, he can participate in Selmie's Shield-Surfing mini-game. When Link unlocks the advanced track, the end goal is located by the flags at the bottom of the Sturnida Basin, just north of the hot spring. If Link is quick enough, he can earn quality shields as rewards, including a Knight's Shield and Royal Shield.

The Sturnida Basin can be found just northwest of Lake Kilsie in the Hebra Mountains. Early in the game, the Blizzard that affects Rito Village is also affecting the Sturnida Basin. It is perpetually snowing and also very cold, requiring Link to have a level of Cold Resistance in order to survive.
The Basin leads up to the Biron Snowshelf to the north, which gradually increases in elevation. To the south, the Sturnida Secret Hot Spring can be found, along with the Sturnida Springs Cave.
