"After the Upheaval, these monsters began appearing in Hyrule's cave systems. Because of the inordinate amount of time they spend moving along cave walls and ceilings, they have developed great strength in their might arms. This variety poses a huge threat to even the most experienced adventures."

— In-game description

Black Horriblins are enemies in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom

Black Horriblin can be found in Caves across Hyrule, and in some locations in the Depths. They climb on the ceilings and often attack from above, sometimes pulling rocks to throw at Link. When defeated, they often drop Horriblin Claws and rarely drop Horriblin Guts. The Black Horriblin will drop a Black Horriblin Horn, a horn that is specific to this creature.

Headshotting Black Horriblins while they are on the ceiling will cause them to fall and land on their rear ends, which they will clutch and yipe in pain for a short time, providing the perfect opportunity to deal continuous damage to them. Holding down a charge attack with a two-handed weapon and spinning into them is an effective way to defeat them before they can resume any further attack.
