The Triforce of Wisdom, often associated with a blue color, holds the essence of the second Goddess, Nayru. Traditionally, this piece of the Triforce is bound to Princess Zelda. In The Legend of Zelda, Princess Zelda divides the Triforce of Wisdom into eight shards and scatters them across Hyrule in order to hide it from Ganon.
The Legend of Zelda
In the first game, Princess Zelda splits the Triforce of Wisdom into eight separate pieces and hides them within eight dungeons scattered throughout Hyrule in an attempt to prevent the evil Ganon from obtaining it. She then sends her attendant Impa to find a hero capable of destroying Ganon. Impa finds Link who agrees to help. He then travels to the eight dungeons and retrieves the pieces. Only when the Triforce of Wisdom is assembled will Link be able to gain access to Ganon's dungeon on Death Mountain.
The Adventure of Link
The Triforce of Wisdom was obtained back in The Legend of Zelda after Link re-assembled the eight pieces. Along with the Triforce of Power and the Triforce of Courage from the Great Palace, Link uses the three Triforce pieces to awaken the sleeping Princess Zelda.
A Link to the Past
After defeating Ganon, Link uses the full Triforce to bring peace to Hyrule.
Ocarina of Time
After Link opens the Door of Time and removes the Master Sword from its pedestal, he is sealed away within the Sacred Realm for seven years. Ganondorf uses this opportunity to enter the Sacred Realm and claim the Triforce. However, upon touching the sacred relic, it splits into three pieces. The Triforce of Wisdom went into the hand of Princess Zelda.
Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages
Link travels to the castle holding the Triforce which informs him of his destiny in Holodrum and Labrynna.
The Wind Waker
When Tetra was younger, her mother gave her an unusual gold necklace and was told to guard it with her life. That necklace was a piece of the legendary Triforce of Wisdom. Upon meeting Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule in Hyrule Castle underneath the Great Sea, he informs Tetra of her destiny and he re-assembles the Triforce of Wisdom with the lost part. Tetra is told that she is Princess Zelda and she is then garbed in the dress of the Princess.
Twilight Princess
The Triforce of Wisdom remains in the hand of Princess Zelda, who had been blessed with the gift as were Link and Ganondorf with the other two pieces. Supposedly, the Triforce of Wisdom prevents her from becoming a spirit when Hyrule is engulfed in Twilight.
Skyward Sword
The Triforce of Wisdom is located within Sky Keep beneath the Statue of the Goddess on Skyloft. It is one of the three Triforce pieces that Link needs to collect in the Sky Keep. It is required to eradicate The Imprisoned permanently from the world.
A Link Between Worlds
The Triforce of Wisdom is held by Princess Zelda, however, before the final battle, Princess Hilda takes the Triforce of Wisdom from Zelda's portrait and tells Link about how Lorule fell into its current state and how their Triforce was destroyed. She reveals that both her and Yuga worked together to steal the Triforce from Hyrule for their own purposes.
