Breath of the Wild In-Game Description

The Scimitar of the Seven is a sword found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom. Together with the shield Daybreaker, it was one of Urbosa's signature weapons until her death. Both are later inherited by Link.

Breath of the Wild

The Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker can be obtained by returning to Gerudo Town and speaking with Riju after defeating Thunderblight Ganon inside of the Divine Beast Vah Naboris. It has a power of 32.

If destroyed, it can be remade if Link talks to Buliara and gives her a Gerudo Scimitar, a diamond and five flints.

Age of Calamity

This section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

The Scimitar of the Seven is Urbosa's initial, highest-level and signature weapon.

One is given to the player upon unlocking Urbosa with a base damage of 42[1]

It has two hidden seals[2]:

  • Level 25: Strong-Attack Damage: +7%
  • Level 30: Damage to Locked-On Target: +10%

Tears of the Kingdom

The Scimitar of the Seven becomes obtainable once Link has finished the Riju of Gerudo Town portion of the Main Quest, ending with the defeat of Queen Gibdo, and after completing The Missing Owner side quest, which will require Link to venture to the Toruma Dunes and defeat a Molduga surveying the area around Isha, the jeweller in Gerudo Town. She will then return to her shop, which Link can then go to and talk to Isha to initiate the Pride of the Gerudo side quest, where he will need to bring Isha a Gerudo Scimitar, a Gerudo Shield, four Diamonds, and ten pieces of Flint to build both the Scimitar of the Seven and a Daybreaker, collectively referred to as the Arms of the Seven. These will be the required materials every time Link returns to Isha for further Scimitars of the Seven and Daybreakers, which he can only re-obtain after the previous Scimitar of the Seven or Daybreaker has been broken or lost.

While the base power of the Scimitar of the Seven is slightly reduced from the previous game, down from 32 to 28, like other Gerudo weapons in Tears of the Kingdom, it doubles the fuse attack power of anything fused to it. However, unlike other Gerudo weapons, it also has very high durability - 60, the most durable one-handed weapon in the game, and behind only the Lightscale Trident spear in overall weapon durability - and gets the full 25 boost to durability from fusion, whereas other Gerudo weapons only get a fifth of that. Consequently, a Silver Lynel Reaper formed from a Scimitar of the Seven and Silver Lynel Saber Horn has a power of 138 and a durability of 85, making it one of the most powerful and durable possible weapons in the game, with no other base weapon able to get near both statistics at once. Likewise, a bone-based version made with a Molduga Jaw creates a Molduga Hammer with 92 might, which becomes 165 with Bone Attack Up, which can even be augmented by having a Lv3 Attack Up effect, having at the end 248 damage power. The only consequential downside is that it cannot be improved or repaired by a Rock Octorok, who will spit it out unchanged.

Riju fights dual-wielding this weapon during the Lightning Temple, and her avatar does so too whenever summoned by Link.
