Weapon Bonus is a game mechanic in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom where weapons and shields can have special properties that boost their statistics.
Breath of the Wild
The Weapon Bonus appear on the equipment that is recovered as the World Level of the game increase. The items has two types of bonus, "White bonus" and "Yellow bonus". Both refers to the colour of the icon on the weapon's box in the pause menu. Yellow bonuses are superior to white bonuses, but both vary. Some bonuses are only available for a specific category of equipment or in a specific colour.
Tears of the Kingdom
The Weapons Bonus work in the same way that in Breath of the Wild with some changes. With the inclusion of Fuse, the bonus of Attack Up and Durability Up of has been nerfed to account for fusing, offering a maximum of 10 for both bonuses. Note that feeding a weapon to a Rock Octorok can increase the bonus of any items - or change it if it already has a yellow bonus - this refers only to the bonuses on an item when picked up.
