"Fake Master Sword" is the answer to [[Q. Bumpkin]]'s eighth riddle in his [[Riddle Quest]], and Link must bring one to him in his [[basket]] to answer it. However, as they do not regenerate, pulling them all earlier in the game can render the Riddle Quest incompletable. On a similar note, they must be caught directly with the [[Bug-Catching Net]], not pulled by hand. | "Fake Master Sword" is the answer to [[Q. In A Link to the Past, while the True Master Sword sleeps deep in the Lost Woods, a number of fake Master Swords[1] are scattered elsewhere in the woods to distract those who would steal the real thing.
A Link to the Past
"This is it! The Master Sword! ... ... ... No, this can't be it... Too bad."
When Link comes across a fake Master Sword and picks it up, he realises it is a fake and instantly discards it.
GBA version
"Pull it out, but... too bad! What is it?"
