The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, cats roam in Hyrule Town. When Link is in his Minish form, the cats attempt to attack him. There is a cat on the bridge which fuses Kinstones with Link if he is in his Minish form.
Twilight Princess
In Twilight Princess, the cats' main purpose is to provide Link with hints while he is in Wolf form. While in Hylian form, they follow Link in groups and can be picked up and carried. There are three cats that play a part in the story: Telma's cat, Louise; Jovani's cat, Gengle; and Sera's cat, also named Link. Many cats can also be found at the Hidden Village, where the Cucco Leader allows Link to play a game where he meets all of them. In Castle Town, near Jovani's House, there are a few cats that play around. They follow Link around, regardless of his form. In Wolf form, the cats talk about how Jovani hasn't been outside and they miss Gengle.
