It works as a [[Boss Key]] to open the door to [[Scaldera]]'s lair in the [[Earth Temple (Skyward Sword)|Earth Temple]]. It looks similar to a coiled dragon, and it is inserted into the lock on the [[boss]]'s door at the end of the temple and twisted around until it fits and unlocks the door.{{Ref|SS|341|In-game description}} [[Link (Skyward Sword)|Link]] retrieves it from a [[Treasure Chest]] at the top of a large hill.
