The Mask of Awakening is a findable legacy Zelda item in Tears of the Kingdom. It is a full reproduction of Link's head from the 2019 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
Tears of the Kingdom
The Mask of Awakening has a base defense of 3, and can be obtained by scanning the Link (Link's Awakening) amiibo, through the use of the amiibo Rune. Scanning the amiibo will drop various items from the sky, along with a treasure chest, which has a chance of containing the Mask of Awakening, but can also contain different items. The amiibo can only be scanned once per day.
The Mask of Awakening can also be obtained from the Thundra Plateau Cave in Hyrule Ridge, which can be access once Link solves a riddle involving building a structure whose shadow connects the two shadows of the east and west pillars on the plateau. This is able to be accomplished around midday in-game.
Armor Set
The Hero of Awakening Set, which is new to Tears of the Kingdom (also including Tunic of Awakening and Trousers of Awakening) offers the Attack Up bonus.
Enhance Path
Enhancing Armor requires that you have unlocked as many Great Fairy Fountains as the desired star-level.
