An Elixir is a type of item in Breath of the Wild. They can be concocted by cooking different types of materials with monster parts found in the game.
Breath of the Wild
There are 12 different types of Elixirs in the game, each having a unique ability, ranging from increased attack to resistance to the cold. Some Elixirs are vital to Link's quest, such as the Fireproof Elixir, which is necessary to successfully climb Death Mountain.
Basic Elixirs can be made by combining one insect with a monster part; for example a Cold Darner combined with a Bokoblin Horn will result in a Chilly Elixir, which can mitigate the effects of high temperatures. The more ingredients used can result in a more potent Elixir, which can provide extra levels of resistance, such as higher stealth up in the case of the Sneaky Elixir.
