"Grants a fireproof effect, which prevents your body from catching fire. Be sure to pack this when venturing out to explore Death Mountain."
The Fireproof Elixir is an item in Breath of the Wild.
Breath of the Wild
Fireproof Elixirs prevent Link's body from catching fire for a limited time, preventing the attendant damage. This is particularly useful while exploring Death Mountain and Vah Rudania.
It can be made with any amount of Fireproof Lizards and/or Smotherwing Butterflies along with any amount of any monster parts at a Cooking Pot.
The Fireproof Set Bonus/property that this elixir gives cannot be achieved through cooking meals, making it the only buff in the game with such a condition. This property can be permanently gained by wearing the ★★-tier Flamebreaker Set.
Other non-Goron visitors to the volcanic areas of Eldin, such as Kass or Ramella, also use fireproof elixirs.
Tears of the Kingdom
It can be assumed that there is also a fireproof Elixirs in Breath of the Wild's sequel as well. Made in the same way.
