Like other Chu, larger Purple Chu will split into smaller versions when Link strikes them with his sword. Smaller Chu, if left alone, will crawl towards one another and merger together to reform a larger chu. | |||
When defeated, a Purple Chu will leave behind some [[Purple Chu Jelly]]. It has similar elements to that of [[Nasty Soup]], which will have a random effect on Link. Sometimes it restores one or two hearts, and rarely, could even restore all of them.
