The Wing Ceremony is a ceremonial contest that that is held in Skyloft annually in Skyward Sword. The champion advances to the next academic year in the Knight Academy and is required to participate in the Ceremony of the Goddess.
Competitors compete on their Loftwings, dodging obstacles and other hindrances in The Sky, to obtain the Bird Statuette from the Golden Loftwing.

Link ultimately succeeds, and progresses to the Ceremony of the Goddess where he is rewarded with the Sailcloth by Zelda.
