The Fairy Dust is a material in Tri Force Heroes, an ingredient dropped by a live fairy in Breath of the Wild and a trading item in Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon.
Tri Force Heroes

Fairy Dust is used to create the Jack of Hearts and Queen of Hearts.
Breath of the Wild
"...I've got just the thing for you—a fairy tonic! Just heat up a little bit of fairy dust, and BAM—you've got yourself something really special!"

The main ingredient of a Fairy Tonic is fairy dust, dropped by a Fairy if Link throws them over a cooking pot. They drop the dust and then fly away.

The Wand of Gamelon
A woman in Sakado wants fairy dust in return for a Magic Cloak. It can be obtained at The Fairy Pool by defeating the evil witches there.
