Pulse of the Ancients is the first of two DLC packs as part of the Age of Calamity Expansion Pass, and was released on June 18, 2021. First showcased at a Nintendo Direct on February 17, 2021, it added new playable character(s), new weapons, stronger enemies, and new challenges.

- A "Battle-Tested Guardian" playable character
- New flail weapon for Link
- Master Cycle weapon for Zelda
- "Apocalyptic" difficulty level
- A new stage called "In the Royal Ancient Lab"
