The Clock, or Magical Clock, is an item found randomly in The Legend of Zelda, BS The Legend of Zelda and certain scenarios of Hyrule Warriors.
The Legend of Zelda
This item sometimes appears after Link has killed an enemy and, if Link is able to collect it, freezes all enemies on the screen,[1] making them easier to attack, but they still injure Link if he touches them. Enemies in an invulnerable state, such as hovering Peahats or the front of Darknuts, also remain invulnerable.
This item is especially useful in screens with lots of enemies, but because of its randomness in terms of appearance, it cannot be relied upon much. While there is technically no time limit on its use, it works only until a screen transition.
Non-Canon Appearances
This section describes a subject that is or may be outside the core Zelda canon. |
BS The Legend of Zelda
The Clock functions in BS The Legend of Zelda identically to its use in the original The Legend of Zelda.
Hyrule Warriors
"Pick up the Clock to freeze nearby enemies for a while."
The Clock appears in "Don't Get Hit" Adventure Mode scenarios. As in The Legend of Zelda, it freezes enemies for a limited time.
Cosmetically, it is also used as the 8-Bit Weapon version of Ruto's Zora Scale.
