This article is about the song from Link's Awakening. For the song from Majora's Mask, see Ballad of the Wind Fish (Majora's Mask).

The Ballad of the Wind Fish is a song in Link's Awakening. It is heard many times throughout the game in many different forms.

The first time it can be heard is from Marin. She will sing the song to Link in Mabe Village, next to the statue of the Flying Rooster. After Link finds the Ocarina in the Dream Shrine, Marin will ask Link to accompany her while she sings the song.[1] Later, Link and Marin both go to Animal Village to awaken the Walrus blocking the path to Yarna Desert with this song. Marin then stays in the village to sing the Ballad of the Wind Fish to all of the animals there. All animals appear to be completely enraptured by her singing, and they will go into a trance-like state.

After getting all of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens, Link uses them to play this song in front of the Wind Fish's Egg on Mt. Tamaranch to open a path into the final dungeon.
