Goombas are mushroom-shaped enemies that walk side to side in the underground passages or dungeons. Any weapon will defeat a Goomba in one hit. They can only deal half a heart of damage by contact, so Goombas are very weak enemies.
They're also great to kill if Link is low on hearts. Equip Roc's Feather and jump on top of a Goomba to defeat it and Link will get a Recovery Heart. If you don't have the Roc's Feather yet, Link can drop off the side of a higher platform onto the Goomba.
