Link acquires the valuable Gold Dust after completing the Goron Race in first place in the Goron Racetrack. He must have an Empty Bottle to store it in.
To use it, within a three-day cycle, he must:
- Defeat Goht (Snowhead Temple Boss) on the First Day or Night.
- Have given Zubora & Gabora his Kokiri Sword to reforge into a Razor Sword (Need 100 Rupees) on the First Day or Night; and not have used the Razor Sword more than 100 times.
- Win at the Goron Race to acquire the Gold Dust, before the end of the Second Day.
Given all of the above, he can give the Gold Dust and Razor Sword to Zubora & Gabora, who will take a whole day to reforge it into the Gilded Sword, which does the same damage as the Razor Sword but does not break.
Gold Dust can also be sold should Link have no other use for it. He can take it to Zubora and Gabora for a measly 20 Rupees, or he can head over to the Curiosity Shop to sell it for a whopping 200 Rupees.
