[[Link]] is, again, the main character, along with [[Piyoko]], his pet chick. When his Grandma and Grandpa send him to a town to take the Knight's Trial, Link gets in a fight with a boy, and runs away to escape getting put in jail. He ends up in the castle, where he is sucked into the land of [[Holodrum]] while Princess [[Zelda]] watches. In Holodrum, he heads to a village in hopes of food. He meets the beautiful [[Din]], a dancer in a circus troupe, and is invited to dance with her. He is embarrassed and shy and runs away. He bumps into [[General Onox]], the General of Shadows. Onox hurts Link, but Din finds him passed out. She brings him back to the troupe, where he awakens and eventually ends up joining the troupe himself. He meets [[Impa]], the cook. On the way to their next performance, the circus stops to camp out at the [[Temple of Seasons]]. Link overhears Impa and Din talking about Din leaving the troupe, and, upon Link's arguing, Din brings him inside the Temple of Seasons, where she awakens in her true form: the [[Oracle of Seasons]]. But then Onox appears and tries to take away Din. Link tries to fight him, but Onox hurts him and Din makes a sacrifice. Then he sinks the Temple of Seasons. When Link defeats him, the Godesses of Seasons appear and gift him with the Rod of Seasons. Jealous, Maple follows, trying to get the Rod of Seasons. They set off to [[Onox's Castle]], and are faced with a problem: Mountain scaling. When they reach the top, they are met with a cleverly disguised [[Twinrova]], who uses her magic to throw Link and Ricky into a pit (Lucky Maple flies.) and to dispell Maple's cushioning magic. |
