The Essences of Nature and Time are quest items featured in Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, respectively. Link obtains each essence by completing a dungeon in the respective game.
Essences of Nature
- Main article: Essences of Nature
Link uses the Essences of Nature to restore the Maku Tree to its former strength, and receives a Maku Seed for his efforts, which is used to break the seal on Onox's Castle. The Essences of Nature also open up corridors and passageways within the Maku Tree, which allow for exploration of other secrets as well as communion with the Oracle of Secrets, Farore.
Essences of Time
- Main article: Essences of Time
Much like in Oracle of Seasons with the Essences of Nature, Link uses the Essences of Time to restore the Maku Tree to its former strength and receives a Maku Tree for his efforts, which is used to break the seal on the Black Tower. The Essences of Time also open up corridors and passageways within the Maku Tree, which allow for exploration of other secrets as well as communion with the Oracle of Secrets, Farore.
