Coro is a character from Twilight Princess. He is a human that sports a large, bushy head of hair that is home to a small bird and its nest. His house is located in the Faron Woods just outside of the Ordona Province, where he sells Lantern Oil.
Story
Coro is encountered early on in Twilight Princess. When Talo goes missing from Ordon Village, Link journeys through the Faron Woods where he happens upon Coro sitting outside of his home. When spoken to, he will give a Lantern to Link free of charge. He explains that this is a "business tactic" of his, since Link must purchase Lantern Oil from him to operate the item.[citation needed] The Lantern aids in lighting the various dark places Link will need to traverse throughout his adventure, including the caves immediately following his acquisition of it. To refill the Lantern, Link can return to Coro to do so. However, there are alternative sources of oil in other parts of Hyrule.
Family
Coro has two sisters, Iza and Hena. They both operate respective attractions in the Lanayru Province: Iza runs the Boat Rental Cabin and Hena runs the Fishing Hole. Coro's sisters view him contemptibly, with Hena remarking that he is a "lousy" fisherman.[citation needed] Coro and Iza are noted for displaying no fear when in the presence of Link's wolf form. Aside from his sisters, Coro also has a pet bird, Trill, who is the proprietor of Trill's Shop. Trill sells Lantern Oil as well, along with Red Potion. If Link takes from Trill's Shop without paying, Coro will get angry with Trill.[citation needed]
