In Ocarina of Time, Wolfos are not a very common enemy and they only appear three times. They are found in the Sacred Forest Meadow, the Forest Temple, and the Gerudo Training Ground. To defeat the Wolfos, Link needs to dodge their attacks until they spin around, giving him a chance to defeat them with a Jump Attack to the back. Hitting either the White Wolfos or the regular Wolfos in the back instantaneously defeats them.
Another version of the Wolfos known as the White Wolfos appears in cold environments.

In Majora's Mask, Wolfos look and act the same as in Ocarina of Time. They are located on the path between Termina Field and Woodfall at night. After Link defeats Goht and returns Snowhead to spring, they will spawn where the White Wolfos were during Winter. They also appear as targets in the Swamp Shooting Gallery.
