Secret Chief Talks is a Side Quest in Echoes of Wisdom.
Overview
Speak to Rogma, Kushara's assistant, found just east of Sea Zora Village. He tells Zelda that Chief Dradd and Chief Kushara have been secretly talking and he wants to know what the two chiefs have been talking about. When Zelda goes to River Zora Village, she finds Inawa worrying about her job as Dradd's assistant, as Dradd has suddenly started avoiding her too. She grumpily tells Zelda to ask the other River Zora, as Dradd's talking to them still. Other Zora point Zelda toward Tellum, who's slacking off from fishing east of River Zora Village. After a momentary freakout about being caught lazing around, he suggests checking Dradd and Kushara's old hangout in the Zora Cove cave.
When Zelda goes there, she finds Rogma and Inawa nervously waiting around a corner from the two chiefs talking. When Zelda goes up to the chiefs, Dradd denies anything is off, which leads Inawa to charge in - reluctantly followed by Rogma - demanding an explanation. Kushara and Dradd admit they were plotting... for a way to thank their assistants for saving them from the Lord Jabu-Jabu Impostor, and being swallowed themselves in turn. With the secret out, they thank their assistants profusely and ask that they stay with them. Both agree, then Dradd winds Tri up by calling them "round thing", while Kushara still can't see Tri.
Afterwards, Rogma thanks Zelda, and gives her a Gold Brooch for her help.
Requirements
- Complete The Jabul Waters Rift quest.
Walkthrough
- Rogma can be found on the island, just east of Sea Zora Village. Speak to him to begin the quest.
- Warp to River Zora Village and make your way to the hut at the far northwest part of the village. Speak to Inawa to find that Dradd isn't around as he's been talking to the Sea Zora Chief, Kushara. He suggests to Zelda that she talk to other River Zora in the village to find where he went.
- The River Zora just outside the hut said that he saw the chief talking to Tellum, but Tellum has also run off. He encourages Zelda to talk to other River Zora. Some of the other River Zora will mention that Tellum went fishing off to the east, but is probably hiding away in some corner.
- Tellum can be found due east of the zora who suggested looking for him there, hiding in some bushes. Tellum thinks Dradd went to the cave in Zora Cove, as they used to go there when they first learned to swim.
- Warp back to Zora Cove and head inside the cave found at the east end of the area, where Kushara was trapped during Rampage in Zora Cove. The Chiefs were planning on thanking their assistants, but couldn't find the words to do so. After finally addressing them in the cave, Rogma will award Zelda with a Gold Brooch, completing the quest.
