Overview

After completing the Lands of the Goddesses quest, Zelda can travel to any of the three regions in any order. As soon as Zelda steps foot in the Eldin Volcano, it will give an overview of the area, even if Zelda has previously been in the region.

Requirements

Walkthrough

  • Make your way to the Eldin Volcano at the northwest end of the map. This can be achieved by heading north from Kakariko Village. Once Zelda reaches the volcano, it will pan the area, beginning the quest.
  • Make your way to Goron City and you'll find a Goron who informs Zelda that Darston, the Goron Chief, has been swallowed up by a Rift.
  • Enter Goron City and Tri can create an entrance at the Rift, giving Zelda access to the Stilled Goron City.
    • Climb up on the right side and then immediately climb down the ladder that is in the large Goron vase. Use a Bombfish Echo to create blasts through the blocks and reach some of Tri's friends at the bottom.
    • Found at the far north end of the region. Use Echoes to reach the area.
    • Found on the high elevation at the northwest part of the area.
    • Found down below at the southwest part of the area.
  • After all of Tri's friends have been found, they will mend the rift, restoring Goron City back to normal. However, some of the Gorons are still missing, including Elder Gol and Elder Silv. Darston will leave Goron City to look for them.
  • Just outside, Zelda can speak with Darston, who points Zelda towards the Rock-Roast Quarry in the northwest and the Lizalfos Burrow to the north.
  • Travel to the far northwest corner of the map and enter the Rock-Roast Quarry. Inside, Zelda will find three Gorons curled up in a ball. They are hungry and want some Rock-Roast. This will begin the Rock-Roast Quarry quest. Zelda will need to bring some Rock-Roast to the Gorons to complete the quest.
  • Travel to the north-center part of Eldin Volcano, where there is a lake of lava. Head inside the cave next ot the rift to enter the Lizalfos Burrow. The Gorons here are scared of the Dark Lizalfos that are deeper in the cave. This will begin the Lizalfos Burrow quest. Travel through and defeat the sets of Lizalfos to complete the quest.
  • Return to Goron City and speak to both Gol and Silv together. Here the group will remember the path is found in the Chief's room.
  • Darston will comment about the portrait of his father in the room. Zelda can use Bind to pull out the screw, causing the portrait to slam to the ground and breaking, revealing the passage.
  • Enter the Crater Secret and use an Echo, such as a Mothula Echo to fly across the gap and continue deeper down the passageway. Navigate through the next room using Lava Rocks to make it through.
  • Continue through a series of rooms and Darston will catch up, breaking a boulder allowing Zelda to pass. In the next room Tri can create an entrance. Jump on in to enter the Stilled Eldin Volcano.
  • Through the Stilled Eldin Volcano to arrive at the Eldin Temple.

Adventure Log

Step Description
1 Search for a place where you can make an entrance into the large rift on Eldin Volcano, so you can mend it. The Gorons may know something about the rift.
2 You met a Goron pleasing for help in front of Goron City. He said a rift suddenly appeared, swallowing several Gorons, including their chief, Darston.
3 Tri created an entrance into the rift in Goron City. Save Chief Darston and any other Gorons who were swallowed up by the rift.
4 Apparently there are Gorons who haven't returned, even after the rift was mended. Darston headed out of the city to look for them.
5 Search for Gol and Silv, two Gorons who may know about a shortcut to the crater. Apparently they went to the Rock-Roast Quarry in the northwest and the Lizalfos Burrow to the north.
6 Elder Gol couldn't recall anything about a shortcut that leads to the crater where the rift is. Try making your way to the Lizalfos Burrow, located north of Goron City.
7 Neither Elder Gol nor Elder Silv remember the shortcut to the crater. Try returning to Goron City and speaking to them both again.
8 Elders Gol and Silv remembered hearing that the old chief once blocked off a path in his room. He also mentioned something about a portrait. It's a vague hint, but try heading to the chief's room.
9 The shortcut was revealed behind the portrait in the chief's room. Head down the shortcut toward the Eldin Volcano crater.
10 Darston destroyed a large rock that was blocking the way. He also looks like a weight has been lifted off of him now that he's figured out his own way of doing things. Keep moving toward the rift.
11 You created an opening to the rift at the crater of Eldin Volcano. Enter and mend the Eldin Volcano rift.
