Acorn Gathering is a mini-game from Echoes of Wisdom.
Echoes of Wisdom
Acorn Gathering can be found at five different locations in Hyrule.
Zelda can try it out for 10 rupees by talking to one of the men wearing acorn-like hats. The objective is to gather acorns in the area before the goal time. Some acorns are on higher elevations, which require Echoes such as Tables and Old Beds to reach. The prize for gathering all acorns before the goal time is 20 rupees.
After gathering all acorns before 40, 25, or 17 seconds of the respective goal times of 60, 40, and 22 seconds, Zelda is rewarded with a special one-time bonus: a Piece of Heart, Golden Egg, Steel Trap, 3 Might Crystals, or 100 rupees. After Zelda does this again, she receives a Riverhorse, Warm Pepper, Refreshing Grapes, Radiant Butter, or Rock Salt.
Locations
- Along the very west side of the overworld between Eldin Volcano and Gerudo Desert.
- Slightly northeast of Kakariko Village.
- Northern part of Hyrule Field at the Northern Sanctuary just north of Hyrule Castle.
- Just outside Hyrule Castle Town on the west side.
- At Zora River to the right of Lord Jabu-Jabu's Den on an elevated platform.
Rewards
- The west-most game gives the Steel Trap for the first clear below 40 seconds. Following wins will give Rock Salt.
- At the northeast of Kakariko Village, Zelda will get a Piece of Heart for the first clear below 25 seconds. Following wins will give Refreshing Grapes.
- At the Northern Sanctuary, Zelda will get a Golden Egg for the first clear below 25 seconds. Following wins will give Radiant Butter.
- At the west side of Hyrule Castle Town, Zelda will get 3 Might Crystals for the first clear below 17 seconds. Following wins will give a Warm Pepper.
- At Zora River, Zelda will get 100 rupees for the first clear below 25 seconds. Following wins will give a Riverhorse.
