Roc's Feather sprite from Link's Awakening DX

In Link's Awakening, the Roc's Feather is found in the first dungeon, Tail Cave, in a Treasure Chest. Link can use it to reach items floating above his head such as Recovery Hearts and Magic Powder, and he can jump over pits. It is invaluable in the side-scrolling areas of the game.

Roc's Feather also allows Link to jump to avoid quakes from enemies such as the Armos Knight that would otherwise knock him over. Link can jump on Goombas with the Roc's Feather to kill them and yield a Recovery Heart.

Oracle of Seasons

The Roc's Feather can be found in the Poison Moth's Lair.

Oracle of Ages

The Roc's Feather can be found in the Wing Dungeon. It will give Link the ability to jump to higher places and over small gaps.

Four Swords Adventures

The Roc's Feather can be obtained on various stages around Hyrule. As in previous games, it gives the player the ability to jump. Pressing B while in mid-air will have Link swoop downward quickly with his sword.[1] It can be upgraded at a Great Fairy Fountain to Level 2, which will allow the Links to double jump.[2]

Etymology
