The text of Zelda Dungeon is licensed freely under the GNU Free Documentation License This means that all textual content added to Zelda Dungeon Wiki is may be copied, redistributed, and modified provided all copies and derivatives will be available under the same license. Media added to the wiki is under the assumption of fair use and may be freely redistributed and no ownership claimed by Zelda Dungeon Wiki.

Ownership

There are many aspects of the ownership of the site:

• The site itself is owned and operated by Mases Hagopian.
• Text is not owned but is released under GFDL. For another to use the text, they must release it under GFDL or a GFDL-compatible license.
• Owned private images are released by permission or by the owner. Images owned by Nintendo are used under fair use rationale.
• The software that the site uses, MediaWiki, is owned by the Wikimedia Foundation.
• Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda, Zelda game titles, and their respective logos are registered trademarks or trademarks of Nintendo Co., Ltd.

Image Copyright

A copyright tag must be chosen in the image upload form, or added later. The copyright for individual components of screenshots and artwork from Nintendo's games belongs to them. In the case of fan art, the copyright for the overall composition rests with the image creator, and is used with permission on Zelda Dungeon Wiki. The copyright for company logos belongs to those companies, but we are allowed to host them under United States law's "fair use" doctrine. Other pictures are used under the fair use doctrine as well.
