Template:Region
[Edit Documentation] This is an all-purpose template for identifying various regions, countries, and languages. It is also used to represent release dates for these regions in a consistent format.
Usage
Region
To identify a region with the region's name and its flag:
{{Region| region }}
- region — One of the region codes in the table below.
Example: {{Region|jp}}
→ Japan
Language
To identify a region's language similarly to above, add "language" as an additional argument.
{{Region| region | language }}
- region — One of the region codes in the table below.
- language — "language" tells the template to display the name of that region's language.
Example: {{Region|jp|language}}
→ 日本語
Release Date
For release dates, specify the year, month, and day like so:
{{Region| region | y= | m= | d= }}
- region — One of the region codes in the table below. (Optional.)
- y, m, d — Year, Month, and Day, respectively. (Optional.)
Example: {{Region|jp|y=2013|m=1|d=29}}
→ January 29, 2013
Other
To display just the flag alongside other information, place that other information in the template.

- information — Information pertaining to that region.
