"Restores hearts damaged by gloom. A simple dish made by cooking chunks of fresh fish on a skewer."
Sunny Fish Skewer is a Sunny meal in Tears of the Kingdom. It is a variant of the fifth meal in the Recipe Book, the Fish Skewer.
It can be made in a lit Cooking Pot by combining either a Sundelion OR a Sun Pumpkin with two or more types of fish which do not provide an additional effect - this includes Hyrule Bass, Sanke Carp, and Ancient Arowana. Adding other ingredients may change the type of dish or cancel out the effect. For example, adding a Brightcap to the recipe will instead result in a neutral Fish and Mushroom Skewer. Similarly, using only one type of fish will result in a Steamed Fish recipe, even if multiple of the same type of fish are added. Moreover, using both a Sundelion AND a Sun Pumpkin changes the recipe to Fried Wild Greens.
When eaten, it restores some of Link's hearts; this includes both regular hearts and hearts damaged by gloom. The number of hearts restored depends on how many ingredients are used. Adding more ingredients with the Sunny effect will increase how many gloom-damaged hearts are restored, while adding more fish will increase how many regular hearts are restored.
