==Gaining Entrance== | |||
The Dream Shrine is a small building located in north-eastern Mabe Village, east of the Quadruplet's House and north of the Town Tool Shop. The entrance is blocked by three boulders, which Link needs the Power Bracelet from Bottle Grotto to lift.
While not required to enter, the Pegasus Boots from Key Cavern are required to complete it.
==Dungeon Overview== | |||
When Link enters the Dream Shrine, it appears to be a simple room with a bed; however, if Link sleeps in the bed, he finds himself in a large cavern with a narrow path around the outside, and two items (two chests in the original and DX versions, one chest and one item on a pedestal in the Nintendo Switch remake) on the raised area in the centre. To access the items, he must travel the full length of the path, which is blocked by Arm-Mimics and has large cracked sections. It is possible, though difficult, to get past these enemies and obstacles without using the Pegasus Boots; however, this only allows access to the stairs leading to the (first) chest with 100 rupees. After the first set of stairs are one of the "weird objects" from Key Cavern, which can only be broken through by dashing with the Pegasus Boots and Sword. This allows access to the chest or pedestal with the Ocarina.
Link can leave through the doorway in the bottom-left. When he does so, he will reawaken in the bed, with all items and damage taken inside strangely still on his person.
