The '''Mysterious Crystals''' is an item in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword|Skyward Sword]]''. It works as a [[Boss Key]] to open up the door leading to the [[Boss]] of the [[Fire Sanctuary (Skyward Sword)|Fire Sanctuary]], [[Ghirahim]]. As a large mass of glowing square crystals, it can be turned around until it matches up with the lock on the door and opens it.{{Ref|SS|333|In-Game Description}} In order to obtain it, [[Link (Skyward Sword)|Link]] must solve a puzzle in which he needs to dig underground with the [[Mogma Mitts]] and crawl over small pads that light up bird-like statues in a specific order.{{Ref|SS|5764|Stone Tablet}} After they are all lit, a gate opens and releases a [[Moldorm]] that Link needs to defeat to exit the underground passage. He can then find the Mysterious Crystals in a [[Treasure Chest]].
