'''Joanne''' is the sister of [[Jolene]] from ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass|Phantom Hourglass]]''. She dresses up like a [[Wikipedia:Mermaid|mermaid]]. She can be first seen in the waters surrounding [[Bannan Island]]. She only talks to [[Link (The Wind Waker)#Phantom Hourglass|Link]] if he defeats all enemies in the area. Joanne acts and dresses as if she is a mermaid for the [[Old Wayfarer]]. Joanne also believes that her sister, Jolene, is only pretending to be a pirate. She is part of a mermaid side quest, which leads to Link receiving the [[Fishing Rod]]. At one point in the game, Link accidentally receives a letter from Jolene to Joanne. If Link delivers it to Joanne, he receives a [[Wisdom Gem]] from her.
