The Running Man is constantly running around Lon Lon Ranch in Hyrule Field during Link's childhood. He is part of the Mask Trading sequence and will purchase the Bunny Hood from Link. He says that he wants to be as fast as a rabbit. When shown the Bunny Hood, he becomes ecstatic and fills Link's wallet to purchase it, no matter how many more Rupees Link's wallet can hold. (Meaning he will pay up to 500 Rupees for that mask!) When morning breaks, the Running Man takes off so fast that it knocks Link down. He is seen running along Hyrule Field for the rest of the game, so long as Link is a child. As an adult, Link can race him from the Gerudo Valley to the Kokiri Forest, but no matter how fast Link runs the Running Man will always beat Link by one second.

===Rauru===
Rauru is the Sage of Light who resides inside the Chamber of Sages. He is the first to greet Link after Link awakens from his seven year slumber. It is implied that he may be immortal or otherwise long lived, as it is revealed that he was one of the Ancient Sages who helped construct the Temple of Time.
When Link awakens in the Chamber of Sages, Rauru explains to Link that he had been sealed away for seven years due to having been too young to bear the title Hero of Time when he pulled the Master Sword. He also explains that Ganondorf had entered the Sacred Realm and touched the Triforce, receiving the Triforce of Power as a result and taking over Hyrule. Rauru informs Link that he must awaken the five other Sages in order to defeat Ganondorf, then transports Link back to the Temple of Time to continue on his journey.
Rauru can communicate via telepathy, calling Link back to the Temple of Time after he awakened all five other sages. He later helps Link during his trek through Ganon's Castle when all the sages create the rainbow bridge up to his Castle, and he dispells the Light Barrier inside.
It is notable that Rauru was not with the other Sages on Death Mountain overlooking Hyrule at the end of the game. It is implied that he may not be able to leave the Chamber of Sages.
===Grog===
Grog is the son of the Boss of the Carpenters and brother of the Cucco Lady. He can be found sitting in front of the tree in Kakariko Village at night when Link is a child. As an adult, Link finds him in the Lost Woods when he obtains Cojiro, a blue Cucco, from the Cucco Lady as part of the trading sequence to get Biggoron's Sword. Grog was the only one that Cojiro would crow around, so when Grog sees that Link has Cojiro, he assumes that Link is a nice guy and asks him to take a mushroom to the potion hag (Granny) to make a potion for him. When Link returns, he finds that Grog is gone and Fado is in his place. She reveals that he has turned into a Stalfos, as all humans do when they get lost in the Lost Woods.

Joelle is the Red Poe, Beth is the Blue Poe, Amy is the Green Poe and Meg is the Purple Poe. They can be attacked by shooting arrows into them when they are stationary or not spinning or Invisible. Din is one of the three golden goddesses that created Hyrule, specifically the Goddess of Power and thus associated with the Triforce of Power. According to legend, when the three goddesses descended upon the "chaos that was Hyrule", Din "with her strong flaming arms, cultivated the land and created the red earth." She was the first to use her magic and is responsible for molding the terrain of Hyrule.
