Secrets Of The Whirling Blade is a book found within the Village Library in Link's Awakening. Like most of other books found within the Library, this book gives Link tutorial information - in this case, how to properly use the Spin Attack.
Link's Awakening (Game Boy) & Link's Awakening DX
"'The Whirling Blade technique has been handed down from gener- ation to gener- ation by the family of the hero. To use it, hold down the Sword Button and build up your power. When you have enough, you can release the Button! Can you master this?'"
The book explains how, in order to perform the attack, Link must hold down the sword button until his sword powers up, and then release it to do the spin attack.

The only change in the 2019 version is to identify which button to press, reflecting the fact that the sword is permanently assigned to Ⓑ in the remake.
