Game Boy Pocket |
The Game Boy was the first handheld video game system with interchangeable game cartridges developed by Nintendo, a de facto sequel to the Game & Watch line. It supported only 2-bit "colour", represented as four shades of green in the original model, and four shades of grey in the upgraded Game Boy Pocket rerelease. The games could also be played on a TV using the Super Game Boy accessory for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, with limited added features and colour in some cases.
It was succeeded by the Game Boy Color, a mildly upgraded version; then by the all-new Game Boy Advance.
Games
There was one Zelda game developed for the Game Boy: Link's Awakening.
