The Game Boy Advance was the third handheld video game console developed by Nintendo, and was backwards compatible with games from the original Game Boy and upgraded Game Boy Color.

Game Boy Advance SP

The Game Boy Advance SP (Or Supreme) was an updated version of the classic Game Boy Advance. It had a clamshell design (making it much more smaller when closed), an integrated lithium-ion rechargable battery, and resembled the original Game Boy form factor when opened. The screen was also brighter, and was lit with a frontlight (original model, AGS-001) or backlight (revised model, AGS-101).

Games

There was one Zelda game developed on its own cartridge; however, there was a remake of A Link to the Past on the same cartridge as the multiplayer adventure, Four Swords. In addition, the Zelda Game & Watch game was included as a hidden, unlockable bonus in Game & Watch Gallery 4.

Emulated versions of The Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of Link were released on cartridge for the Game Boy Advance under the "Classic NES Series" subline (Famicom Mini in Japan, NES Classics in Europe). The games' visuals were, however, squashed vertically because of the lower resolution and wider aspect ratio of the Game Boy Advance screen.
