"Koroks made this sword for Hylians. It's made of wood, so it isn't the best choice for head-on attacks. Its original intent was likely clearing vines to forge paths through forests."
The Forest Dweller's Sword is a melee weapon found in Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity.
Breath of the Wild
Forest Dweller's Swords have a base power of 22. While they can be found in various locations in Hyrule, they are most common in Korok Forest. The sword is made entirely from wood, meaning it will catch fire if it is brought in close proximity with a flame. It also has a fairly low durability.
This sword must be equipped at all times whilst attempting the Test of Wood Shrine Quest, or Link will be disqualified, requiring him to try again from the start if he wishes to complete it; this also applies given the circumstance that any of the Forest Dweller weapons are broken during the shrine quest, including the sword. The sword is only given once to Link, so if it's broken, further attempts will only award Link a rented sword that has to be given back.
This sword is among the rarest swords in the game, with only 3 found in chests, one given at the Test of Wood, and an extra one in Master Mode. None of these swords or their respective chests respawn with Blood Moons.
