Wii vs. Wii U Comparison Shots of Zelda in Super Smash Bros.

An avid Super Smash Bros. fan over at NeoGAF.com named ciD_Vain has just posted a comparison shot of Princess Zelda and Mario in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and the new Super Smash Bros. game on Wii U. Up to this point, we have been shown several weekly screenshots, giving us an idea of the added detail on character models in the Wii U game, but side-by-side comparisons like this only add to fans’ excitement about the updated graphics.

I have to say, this is the kind of visual that many fans, including myself, got truly excited about when Super Smash Bros. Brawl‘s debut trailer was first shown, and we saw the new look of many Super Smash Bros. characters. And now, we can get hyped again for all our favorite Nintendo fighters in real HD graphics. As is apparent in the image, the shading effects on Zelda have been brilliantly updated, and things like Zelda’s armor, hair and earrings look far less like they are simply clipping through her character model like in Brawl. Even her eyelashes look much better!
