Weekly Zelda Dungeon Discussion Post #2: A Zelda Anime

Hey guys. Due to technical issues with my computer, I was not able to make a discussion post last Tuesday, so I apologise for that. Rest assured this will not happen again and if it does may the Hero of time strike me down.

Anyway, this week’s discussion post is: A Legend of Zelda Anime. We all love the Zelda games, and anyone would do anything in order to show their love for the franchise. Many have made fan-made games of Zelda, others have made merchandise and a few have made manga’s. Akira Himegawa has made several manga’s of The Legend of Zelda, and they have been a huge success.

After reading the manga, people have always wondered: Why has no one made a Zelda anime?

Well that is a good question. I myself am surprised that no one has made a Zelda anime. If you look at the image above, you can see that it wouldn’t be an utter impossibility and it would definitely be a good idea, any otaku who loves The Legend of Zelda would be screaming for such an anime. It could be based off of one of the many games or manga’s like Ocarina of Time or it could be a completely new story. Personally I’d base the anime off the Ocarina of Time Manga. Whenever I read the manga I always fantasise the action and the sound of the character’s voices. Just to see that on TV or on the internet rather than in my head would be a dream come true.

An action-packed, animated Zelda series is something Nintendo or a professional anime studio should think about in order to increase the Zelda fan base. It wouldn’t have to be a very long anime like Dragonball Z, roughly about 10-15 episodes would be satisfying enough.
