There are many ways that fans show their love of the Legend of Zelda series. Some fans will bring their favorite character to life through Cosplay, other fans will create music, statues, sewn objects, and other artwork to show their appreciation of the series. Artwork, whether it is digital or hand drawn, takes a strong amount of patience and hours at a time to complete. One fan recreated an iconic boss battle between Link and Ganon from the original Legend of Zelda.

The video above is a sped up version of the art process which was made in photoshop by TJ Townsend. According to the artist the video took approximately 24 hours over the course of 8 days to create.

TJ composed the idea for the piece after receiving a large amount of requests from his followers to create a Legend of Zelda related work of art. Regarding the final version of the image TJ had this to say: I took a couple liberties in this pic. I’m not 100% sure it’s possible to have two fireballs in the scene when Gannon (his spelling) reappears, and I left the bottom door open to lighten the room up a little.”

This is really an amazing piece of work that brings a new age feel to a long time favorite. If you could request a Legend of Zelda piece of work from TJ what scene would you choose? Let us know in the comments below!
