Tribute to Zelda in LEGO stop-motion
Posted on June 25 2013 by Jordan Di Palma
When the Zelda series celebrated its 25th anniversary two years ago, the internet saw hundreds of dedications made by fans of all kinds using a variety of mediums. At the time, LEGO stop-motion artist blackjack0014 had plans to add his own work to the mix, but upon taking a hiatus from his work the project was put on hold. As they say, things are better late than never and so holds true here: blackjack has returned to making stop-motion LEGO videos, and to herald his return he began with this awesome dedication to Zelda–all in little plastic LEGO pieces.

Considering all of the sets had to be assembled by hand with no official Zelda LEGO pieces, this is a fairly impressive video. I love the homage paid to different games from the series, including the classic Sacred Grove scene and even bits of Skyloft and a very cool Forest Temple. As a LEGO enthusiast myself, I loved seeing how he recreated Zelda scenes with those classic bricks.
How did you like Blackjack’s work? Do you like LEGO stop-motion videos, and if so how well do you think this one turned out? Would you buy some of his sets if they were made official? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
