Tri Force Heroes’ Placement on the Timeline Revealed (Updated)

Many have been wondering about Tri Force Heroes‘ placement on the overall series timeline, and today, only a day before the game’s release, the developers have told us! The Nintendo of America twitter page had a post today about what game Tri Force Heroes follows, and though the explanation is a bit slim, it at least makes sense.

This is certainly surprising to me. The hero in the Defeated Hero timeline really does get a lot done. From A Link to the Past to The Adventure of Link, the guy was said to have been in five games, six if you count the Oracle twins as two, and then A Link Between Worlds was placed there, too, and now this! That Link is a real trooper.
UPDATE: Alright. Yes. I was incorrect. The Link from A Link to the Past is not the same one as in the NES titles. I apparently neglected to read back to Hyrule Historia’s annoyingly non-detailed descriptions of which Link is which. Sorry. Still, though, Tri Force Heroes continues to put past games’ Links into new adventures, rather than have another incarnation. Perhaps Zelda Wii U will be like this. But, I digress. Now that that is out of the way, on with timeline discussion!
What do you guys think of this game’s placement? Did you expect it to even be on the timeline at all? Drop a comment!
