This Thoughtful Video Explores Why The Wind Waker is So Influental

Do you remember the first Zelda game you ever played that really resonated with you? Was there a particular title that just warmed your heart in a way no other game had before? All of us at Zelda Informer have experienced this wonderful feeling from a Zelda game, and for some of us, it was The Wind Waker. This particular Zelda title has always had mixed reviews. Some people hate the graphics and the cartoon style, some people thought sailing the sea was a tedious task. Others thought The Wind Waker was a breath of fresh air, and players relished sailing a new world looking for adventure. Do you share the latter of these sentiments? Glink has posted a video relaying his reasoning as to why, in his opinion, The Wind Waker is the best Zelda game ever. If you don’t agree with that bold statement, you will at least appreciate his commentary in other ways. He talks about how revolutionary of a Zelda title this game was at the time of release, and how the colorful cast of characters were both unique and memorable. The story-line was not just your traditional save the princess and Hyrule that players were used to, and the game offered a seemingly infinite world to explore.
