wiimusichdicjcb.jpgOne of the video games’ industry’s more-recent gimmicks to fade into obscurity is the music/rhythm game… sure, we all played Rock Band and DJ Hero a couple years ago when those things were cool, but it’s come to the point where the industry has realised that there’s not much more innovation to be had in that genre – and, frankly, everyone’s getting a little bored with it.

Well it seems as though Nintendo hasn’t given up on their Wii Music ideas just yet, as a recent patent has revealed the potential for an on-screen touchable keyboard, in the hands of the Wii U tablet controller… because, really, when you think about it, the most noticeable strength that we currently know about the Wii U controller is that the touch screen holds the potential for, if you will, infinite buttons. That’s a lot of buttons.

Of course, readers should be aware that this idea does not, in any way, indicate the development of a future Wii Music game… whether you want it, or not. Nintendo is simply patenting the idea, for good measure, if nothing else. I mean, it is kind of a cool, if somewhat impractical idea… we’ll just have to wait and see if anything comes of it!

And not only that, but Nintendo has also revealed another patent displaying how the Wii U can manipulate objects within a three-dimensional space. Get your head around this doozy! Notice how the player manipulates the placement of the Wii U controller to modify different dimensions in what is other a three-dimensional space. Sounds like Nintendo’s got some very interesting gameplay ideas up their sleeves!
