The Wind Waker t-shirt available on Club Nintendo Japan

Club Nintendo is a great way to acquire rare gaming merchandise, straight from Nintendo itself. Although it serves as a generous incentive to purchase and register games, the issue is often raised concerning how certain regions often seem to receive better rewards than others. One of the most recent cases of this perhaps lies in Japan’s Club Nintendo, which have just started stocking a very impressive trio of t-shirts based on recent and upcoming Wii U games, including The Wind Waker HD. As you can see, the t-shirt incorporates Link’s traditional crawfish design on a sky-blue background, similar to the shirt which he dons at the beginning of the game on Outset Island. In addition to this, the t-shirt features a small crest of the Royal Family of Hyrule on the back, to emphasize the relation to the Zelda series. It is made of 100% cotton, and like all Club Nintendo products, is strictly limited in number.

The shirts are available to purchase for 600 points each, but the price is reduced to 400 if the corresponding game is registered on Club Nintendo before the 31st of October. It still remains to be seen whether these shirts will reach western shores, but given the fact that Japanese Club Nintendo items are rarely made for sale in their western counterparts, it seems fairly unlikely at this stage.
