The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Announced, Available September 26th, 2024

Today’s Nintendo Direct revealed an historic announcement for the Zelda series: Princess Zelda is the star of the new The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom — the legend is officially about her now. The game will release September 26th, 2024, alongside a Nintendo Switch Lite inspired by The Legend of Zelda series.
“Stolen away, across the vast lands of Hyrule, strange rifts have appeared, and have taken many people — including Link.”
The game embraces the visual charm of the Link’s Awakening 2019 remake while providing players with a new combat style. Series producer Eiji Aonuma even said the game has “a new gameplay style that breaks conventions”. This much is clear, since you will play as Princess Zelda, wielding her new, unique weapon, the Tri Rod. Zelda will even have the help of her new companion, Tri. The Tri Rod has fascinating copy abilities, creating echoes of interacted items that will allow the player to progress further.
